I have heard that one of the best tableted fertilizers that you can use is quite simply Guinea Pig droppings, as the kids have one I'm collecting, drying and testing this out, 13 different tanks plants and temperatures. I would be interested if anyone else has done this and what results they got. He (the GP) is been fed fresh grass only so that the results wont be skewed by any additives the commercial foods use

fresh grass with which fertilizers? I would be worried about how fish safe this is as who knows what could end up being toxic...
Inorganic fertilizers tend to be rather safe in moderation as stated on many sites.
They are usually water soluble and come in the form of salts or other ionic compounds.
