Fertilizer question

Hi again!
I have a 55 gallon tank, with 2.36 wpg that has been cycled for about a month now. The substrate is eco complete. The fish are doing great and seem happy and healthy.
Anyways, I think it is heavily planted. Most plants seem to be doing great. My Kleiner bar sword and telantheras are growing very fast. My ludwigia repens is growing slower but seems to be developing a good root system. I have some little sword plants (I am not sure what they are) but they are growing really long stems with leaves at the end that float on the surface, so I just pull those so they don't block the light. I am thinking maybe they need more light and that's why they grow so high.
I haven't added any fertilizer until now because I wanted the fish to get used to the new place and the tank to stabilize a bit. Now I am not sure what I need to do, what to add, how often, or maybe if I can get away without it. What do you think? What are your suggestions and do you have any advice for this stage of a new planted tank?
Thank you for your advice!

Those plants with shoots up to the surface look like dwarf lillies. Did you plant them as bulbs?

Very nice looking tank, especially considering it has only been planted a few weeks. Are those hygros in the right rear? They should flourish and reach the top of the tank in no time. Everything looks good and should look even better in coming weeks. Hope to see more pics over time.

You may do OK without adding ferts. I don't use them in my tank and have good success with conditions similar to yours.

If you are happy with the health and growth of your plants why fix something that is not broke but please note that at some point, as the plants grow, the ambient nutrients may not be sufficient to support the quantity of plants in your tank.

BTW: very nice tank.

:iagree: After a while the nutrients present in the eco complete will get used up and growth will slow considerably. I use Rex's ferts with great success and it's extremely easy on the wallet compared to liquid ferts.

There is not a whole lot of plants in there, and your lighting is not that intense.
I think the plants however would still benefit from some light dosing depending on what nutrients are already in your source water.
