Ferts and shrimp

People posted this like a million times but I never actually get a straight out answer so heres a poll!

Is FLOURISH okay with shrimp? It has VERY little copper amounts so I don't know..

i don't know either, so i don't use it. I know that there are lines of ferts out there that are invert safe...i would do a quick check at www.planetinverts.com to see.

I dose ferts in my plated invert tank, will soon have presurized CO2 and CRS shrimp, though maybe only like 5 with their outragis price.

I use Kent pro plant and the other Kent stuff, soon going to be using a better method.

I see.. I just bought a bottle of Flourish.. Many people on petshrimp.com say don't use it.. but.. hmm...

Interesting article.. just read it.. I'll still dose flourish, but 1/2 dose just to be safe.. and once every 2-3 weeks.

you might look into dry ferts, perhaps they would be safer, can't say from experience

well flourish is just trace. if your worried about the metals dose the pnk only not the trace.

I dose my 5g shrimp/snail tank w/ dry ferts (mixed into solutions w/ RO/DI) on about a 1/20th EI schedule and do ~40% PWC every other week (sometimes weekly). I add a bit of Excel 4-6 days per week.
