first i have 5 italian val.s what do they need and what is some good info about them, and i have one small ruffle sword, and same questions about that, and last how do i clip and replant them, do i just clip the runnings off??:help:

If the italian val.s (I could not find a description) are similar to Vallisneria spiralis then the propagation will be via runners.
I typically remove the mother plant for transplanting.
I grasp the leaves at the base and gently pull up the plant while attempting to trim only the runners.
