Well, they did. I was of course with Costa Rica, but our team made a poor role in this World Cup.

And about the Italy-US game: what a weird game. There were more yellow/red cards then shots on goal. This is the first time I see something like that.

Also, in the final game numbers, you can see US didn't make a single direct shot on goal in the whole game, but scored 1 goal (talk about weird... )

Well patoloco, for the majority of countries it's just the taking part that counts so Costa Rica can still hold their heads high.

Spain are still looking hot. I thought they'd blew it again but came round in the end.

Not really. In this country, everything revolves around soccer. And, unfortunately, sports press has a lot to do with that. Journalist have become powerfull enough to push against the executives at charge of soccer in CR (Fedefutbol). A group of journalist did a lot pf pressure to fire the former coach and sit A. Guimaraes in the throne again.

This coach has done poorly, and "surprisingly" he has been re-hired from now till 2010. Unbelievable.

Thw Concacaf zone (where CR, US, Mexico and others belong) was awarded with 4 places for this year's torumament. According to Fifa, Concacaf's team performance would dictate how mant places will have in the next World Cup.

Probably 2.
