figi rock

It all depends on the live rock that you get...If its fully cured, then you can put it in your tank, but only a little at a time else it will cause a lot of undue stress to the fish etc etc..

If its not fully cured, then you need to cure it in a rubber maid container filled with salt water, heater and a powerhead for ciculation for a good 3 weeks to be sure and monitor the water with your usual tests..and do a water change as everyweek, but water change will depend on the die off that you experience..

if it is cured it willl smell like the ocean.
if it isnt, it will smell like death to put it simply.
putting it int he sun for a few days will kill everything, but then you will have to clean EVERYTHING off because there will still be dead things on there.
it wouldnt cost a lot, all youd need is a bucket (1-5 bucks), a small powerhead(10 bucks) and a small heater (10bucks)

The two buckets you have will be fine as long as you give them a good clean first...as long as you put a powerhead and heater in there will the rock and saltwater...Fishieness just give you the rough costs of the two bits of equipment..

ok thank one more ???

what kind of way shoud i put my power heads i put the outer head in the outer day. it is in the frist pic i put up on this page hit me back ight

There is no hard and fast rule about powerhead placements i am afraid to say..What you are trying at achieve is no dead spots..

Try placing them in the two back corners...facing oposite corners and work from there...

Sorry i cant be more help on that one for you matey..

you dont need a light on there unless there happen to be some corals. a nd in that case, they will probably survive okay if you jsut keep them in the sun
those buckets will work fine, that is, as long as you can find a place to put the salt. ahah
for temp, just keep them at a normal reef temp: 78-82*F
as far as powerhead placement, in a bucket, you can really put it anywhere because it is so small and circular that everywhere willg et flow
for your tank, as axtion suggested, you want there to try to be no dead spots. make sure that it is not in a strait circle though, this will create one huge dead spot right in the center. lol
