Figure 8 Help

You need to cycle your tank 1st, before you put the puffer in. Cycling does not mean just running the tank. You can either fishless cycle your tank or add Bio-Spira, for an instant cycle:

Find out what SG the puffer is being kept at now, & cycle the tank at that SG. Don't just assume it's 1.010. F8s are best kept at 1.005. Didn't you read that F8 article I linked you to?

WARNING: very long, its 1am here and i felt like typing
Another Update: Before i start off, yes pufferpunk i did read your link the SG of my tank was higher because thats what my LFS said they kept thier brackish tanks at ;).
The place i had orgininally ordered my fish from stoped carrying brackish fish right after i orderd my F8 /cry so i was sad but i didnt give up hope! i have a friend that lives about 200 km from me in a much larger city which had plenty of the little guys around, i asked him if he could do me a big favor and bring me one seeing as he owed me money anyways (gotta love them friends) he said it would be at least 2 weeks before he got here so i started preparing.
i added much more cover to my tank, lowered the SG to 1.004-1.006ish and re-cycled the tank, while i wasent doing this i was doing as much research as i could so that i made sure my puffer would be happy as ever! finally after so much waiting my friend showed up at my house with not one, but three healty little F8 puffers. amazingly the place he got them from kept them at a sg of 1.007 so it was not a big change for them.
they are all very happy and have already started eating these mini in-shell shrimp i found at the supermarket and have fat little bellies :D ( i was actually wondering if the shrimp shells are enough for thier teeth or if i should iinvest in snail farming) thanks to everyone for thier help and inspiration (sorry if this was drawn out i like to type)

I'm really glad you were able to read that F8 article before the author had all his articles removed from our forum. :( You are aware that 3 F8s require at least 35g?

Yes i have a 45g tank which i hope will be enough :D

Oh and i have one more question, when i recived the fish they all had these very tiny white bump looking things on them, at first i thought it was an infection, but then i remeber reading somwhere that these bumps are normal? i was just wonder if this it true or should i be treating them? ( i already added some melafix and am raising the temp just in case)

Oh thank you very much :D
heres a pic of the tank

im thinking of adding another log cave to the other side where the plant is
and moving the plant to the middle so they have more things to explore

Thanks for everyones help (especially Pufferpunk) :)

I'd put way more plants & other deco in there. Look over some of my tanks below.
