I think you added the salt far too quickly. I would raise the salinity no more than 0.002 per week.

F8s do best at low-end BW, of 1.005. GSPs & scats belong in high-end BW & SW as adults. Ottos belone in FW only. Eventually, GSPs will grow 3x the size of the F8 & pick on it. My F8s had a dozen BBGs in their tank, 1 is left. I now have mollies in w/them for hair algae control & only 1 lyretail was nipped--growing back nicely. I have also had luck w/chromides & knight gobies.

Yes I may consider them again. They came from petco which means they came form seagress farms and I would assume that they most likely had been in fresh water there whole lives. I was kind of suprised how negatively they reacted to the salt. I may try an LFS and see if they can special order me some that may be better than what petco has.
