Figure this one out.

Get 2-3 of those big rubbermaid bins, fill them 3/4 with tank water and put the fish in them. Dump the rest of the tank water because it really doesn;t have any beneficial bacteria in it. Take out all decorations and plants and leave them in the bins also. Then, when you get to your new house, set everything up. I don't think there really is a need for a heater or anything because of how close your new house is.
 
Move the tank and fish last, preferably a day or two after everything else has been moved. That way you'll have a better grasp on where the tank will actually fit with regards to your furniture and the electrical outlets. An added bonus is that you won't be quite so stressed about having to rush moving everything in the same day.
