Filter for 3 gallon betta tank?

I know from experience that one of those would be too much flow on a three gallon. I know because I ran one on my ten gallon and I would not put one of those on a three gallon.
i could have sworn it said something about having a flow control i guess i was wrong never mind them

I think I'll just go with the Azoo Palm and cut the acrylic. Thanks everyone.

I have a Red Sea Nano on my 2.5 gal snail tank, and it works beautifully.

The Azoo palm filters have worked well for me. I kinda tweak the filters, though. I peel the white filter pads into layers and sew them with white thread to make a pouch. I fill them will activated carbon and sew 'em closed. It is a pain, though, when you're in a hurry and have to sew a filter.

Just thought I'd update you on the betta. The little guy is now in my care, temporarily in a 1.77 gallon with filter and heater until I can get the 3 gallon back from her. Turns out she never put the betta in the tank I gave her, instead she put him in a 1/4 gallon jar with a locking lid. >.> When they delivered the fish to me today they had left him in the car, so the temperature of the water was in the mid to upper 80's. I put a cup of 78 degree water into his jar, let him sit for a minute or two, then moved him to the 1.77 gallon. He must have been starved, because I gave him two betta pellets in hopes of making friend with him, and he immediately gobbled them up. Never have I seen a betta eat immediately after being moved to a new home. He's a great deal larger than my other betta, Akaryu.

Amazingly, I had just set the 1.77 gallon up last night and had put my double tail Akaryu in it so I could treat him for minor fin rot. The tank has been seeded, so there should be no mini cycle. I've moved Akaryu back to his 5.5 gallon home. It seems I'll be doing a lot of water changes in the next few weeks as both bettas have minor fin rot. Thank heavens that's the only problem both fish have.
