Hi, my Whisper internal micro filter died on me today after less than a week of use. While I will be working on it later to see if it might work, I would love to find an appropriate upgrade because I've always hated whisper filters

Thank you for any ideas!

I use a corner air-filter. Have used one for years. Not enough power to worry about sucking up fry but yet does a great job. Any sponge filter will work as well. No replacement media needed - just rinse and re-use.

do you have fish in there yet????? if not could you put in an under gravel filter????? or even a small sponge filter????

here is a link

Thanks, guys! The flat-back hex shape of the tank makes me feel like the 3 gallon Red Sea filter is a good choice. We use these on our 2.5 gallon tanks and they are very strong for that size. Right now there is a sponge filter rigged up but it is loud and impractical for the layout of the tank in the long run.
