Filter issues

alright i havent check any of message here till now and i notice more was added and today i add the fliter the tank and i am now reading that i should of clean with bleach i didnt add no foam or media bio to the filter i just put in water so it get it going and was planing to buy media and foam tomorrow so what should i do as of now ?
 
I'd bust it all down and clean with a strong bleach solution.....let it all air dry, then fill and do it agian, rinsing with a heavy Prime dechlor...and start anew.

empty the tank clean the rocks also or just filter and how about the gravel ?
 
hey i just finished cleaning the filter out with bleach and gave it about 5 rise off i do still smell lil bleach smell is that normal ?
 
soak it in some dechlor like prime and then let it air dry
 
alrright cool i already did it i also notice i think stronger smell was comming from my hands and not so much of the parts so thats good tomorrow i will put it together and start my 4 week cycle
