I was thinking about adding a powerhead to the tank to create some more flow, then I thought "why not kill two birds with one stone" and filter the flow too?
So now I have two Fluval 305s servicing my 240 litre tank, a combined circulation of 2000 litres/hour. Here's the setup: I have mixed the input and output of both filters. I seeded the new filter with some media from the old one. Now both filters run six trays of biomax each. I may add some carbon to the trays to clear the water if it's needed.
This guy seems to like the extra flow!
