filter not working

Thats the only thing can think of.I really don't think any HOB has that much power to pump that high

x3

I have doubts that any HOb will work for that set up.

And if you were to get it running, and your power flickers. All the water in the filter will siphon into the tank. Leaving the filter running dry until you fix it.

IME, the only way to get a HOB to work in this configuration. Is to fill the tank, start the filter, then drain the tank.
IE I've had an AC keep running while doing a WC.

With all that said. And if your really wanting a water fall. That could be done, with some DIY'n techineeks. ;)

everytime i start to do a wc on my 110 i forget to unplug the filters. when the water get 6 inch lower or so i hear my hob's making noise. so i unplug them quick. they dont got enough power to pull water that far. i have bio-whell 400 tho. but should be similar to all hob

I slapped together a diagram for the waterfall posibility, I was thinking of.
The pic turnt out kind of small. I'm not used to using a paint program. Or ever done much with files and sizes.

Basically, take out the impeller.
Stick a hose on a PH/pump.
Push the hose up through the intake of the filter
Plug it in. And have a waterfall.

Or

Use PVC to make a pipe doing the same.

Either way, you could still use the HOB for filtration. Fill it with bio-media even.

push the intake tube all the way down into the housing
fill your tank to 75% or all it is going to do is make lots of noise
it is one of the endearing qualities of that filter :)

I have one of these. Very cool
