My mini biowheel suddenly stopped working tonight. It was making no noise at all, not taking in water, nothing. I dont think it was an electrical surge or anything, there were other things plugged into the extention cord with the filter and they are ok. I tried it in another outlet, still nothing. I have unplugged the filter, temporarily put the fish from that tank into one of my others, floated the wheel in the original tank. There is still water in the filter, so i think the cartridges will be ok for awhile. This tank is in the bedroom where a child is sleeping, so I dont really want to be making much noise in there right now.
When I do get to check it out, what should I be looking for? (I have no idea how old it is, got it off Freecycle a few months ago...)
