if i have a emperor 400, and if i get the aqua c remora protein filter on a 45 gallon tank will that be enough filtration or will i need to get something else

That should be good enough as long as you have liverock and livesand in there. About 1 lbs of LR per gallon and 1lbs of LS per gallon too. That should be good enough. Just dont overstock the tank.
