I set up a 29 gallon freshwater fish tank one week ago. I am using an aquaclear 50 power filter, and an aquaclear 50 powerhead (attached to my undergravel filter). I also have an air pump. I am planning to stock my tank with small tropical fish, and I am not sure if I'm uderfiltering or overfiltering my tank. Could someone please help me!

Your filtration is more that adequate. Be sure to keep up on your gravel maintenance and you will have some very happy fish. If anything, you may have to choke the output (or remove) the powerhead, but I'm guessing you're off to a fantastic start:)

Just watch those intake tubes on the AC filter - any small fish that likes to explore might find itself in a predicament. I have lost kuhlis and shrimp this way. It is a great filter, though. If you want better carbon, you can buy the pre-bagged Seachem Matrix Carbon, which just happens to fit perfectly in an AC 50.
