skim more wet???? no clue?

After a one week stint with a Sea Clone, I understand what is meant here (I'm returning that worthless thing today).

What he means is (or I think he means), when tuning the venturi valve, the action is overflowing some water into the collection cup, not just foam. The problem here is you need to keep an eye on it. I had a full cup of greenish water in about 20 minutes. I had to tune it back down before leaving for work, for fear it would just start spilling all over the floor.

I'm not sure about this helping to solve your problem but I thought I would offer the explanation. I'm new to the hobby also, I have a clean up crew in my tank that seem to be handling this well. I have about a dozen tiny hermit crabs and snails - check my sig.

sometimes i find the collection cup almost full with green water...i then just empty the cup and raise the collection cup level a little bit and it seems to work...basically trying to adjust the heads manually....

If you're already finding your skimmer fairly full of wet skimmate after a short period of time, skimming more wet isn't really an option since you'll risk overflowing the skimmer cup.

Skimming wet just means collecting more of a wet foam, as opposed to a dry foam. If you're finding a good amount of water in your collection cup (instead of a lot of film), you're already skimming wet.

in the current conditions, the skimmer cup is getting full in few days...

what do you guys think about my frogspawn coral placement...he is only about 5-6" below water level but he seems to like it a lot...opens up really good in the day time...but got to be very careful about filling up the evaporating water...

as in the picture...clowns are hanging out near toadstool and frogspawn...i hope they start hosting either one of them...i think toadstool is too small for them...
the female clown sometimes just goes crazy...moves zig zag...pecking at glass, rock, tiles...
