How many? Columbians are a pretty hefty bio-load, so if you'll have 4 or more, I would go with 2 AC 500's, in addition to some porous rock (it will become bacterially 'alive', like SW live rock). I'm not a fan of canisters, but I think the Ehiem's--appropriately rated--are a good way to go as well.

I'd probably still go with a pair of AC 500's, if you want HOBs. 'Over' filtering is better than lacking.

go with either a wet dry system or two ac 500's and a canister for bio support.
I've got two ac 500's and an xp3 on my 135g right now, but I plan on upgrading to a wet dry system after I've got a protein skimmer and refugium on my tank.

I bet you'll wind up wanting more fish than that... I have 2 AQ 500s & an Eheim 2217 on my 125g, but there are 2 huge plecos (12") & a big fahaka puffer (10") in there.

I dunno, 3 - 18" fish that produce alot of waste is quite the bio load. They'd also eat pretty much anything that'd fit into their mouths. You could try a few archers, but even then when the sharks are big enough the archers could end up food. Even monos may become food.
