hi again

ok i'm moving my 10g to a 74g (300l if thats right ?)) in a few month
and i'm stuck on what filter to get , now i want a filter thats outside the tank so i can keep the tank as empty as poss
I was thinking 2 x fluval 150l filters one in each side is this good enough ? or should i go for one big one ?

Also i have just seen the tanks with the filter build into the lids where a pipe runs over the filter and pours into four containers where you can put what ever medium or filters u want in ...are these better ? ((sorry don't know the name))

the reason for 2 filters was incase one broke down i would have a few hours to get a new one ((i.e at work when it breaks down )) as they don't seem cheap and at least it would be filtering the water

any help would be great :)

Is the tank 300 liters or 74 gallons? 74 gallons = 280 liters, 300 liters = 80 gallons

Not much of a difference though; I'm pretty sure the filter you mentioned is an internal filter. I have 2 fluval 404s on my 75, 1 would probably be enough, but a powerhead would probably be useful for adding a bit more flow.

sorry its 80 gallon my mistake
i take it a power head just makes sure theres water movement in your tank and thx for the info really didn,t think of a power head
