I currently have a 220L tank and it has
250W Heater
50W Heater
PF800n - Internal Power FIlter
PF200n - Internal Power FIlter - connected to a sprayer on top on tank for that drip affect

These two filters are connected thru a "Sectioned of part of my tank"
its like a box at the back with a grate at the bottom about 3 inches long and then its glass to the top of the tank

the water comes in the grate throught 3 inches of bio balls throu some foam to hold them down then throu the filters.

I also have a "Whisper Power Filter 60 hang on filter" on the other side of the tank

I wanted to get say a 45L tank made to fit the Whisper filter relly good and use the 50Watt heater

So now you know all this
I want to have a tank that basically has a Nemo fish and maby a few other .... no more then 5 little fish

Will that filter be enuff?
Will the heater be enuff?
Is it ok to have a 40l tank with that filter?
Will the bacteria thats in the filter go over into the salt water and help with the cycling of that tank...

Tetra rates the filter for up to a 60 gallon tank. I personally use one on a 30 gallon tall tank and haven't had any problems. I personally wouldn't use it on a 40 liter tank however. It would turn the water over somewhere around 36 times per hour.

Since a 40 liter tank is only 10.5 gallons I'd say the heater will be ok.

Personally I'd say no. As I mentioned before it would turn the water over around 36 times per hour. That's a lot of flow in such a small tank.

If the tank your taking the filter from is saltwater and it has an established bacteria load I'd say you will get some bacteria inside of it that will survive when you move the filter. The tank is still going to need to go through a cycling period however.

Also IMHO a bigger tank is needed for any species of clownfish (nemo fish)...
