Filtration for 15 gallon

Hey all, quick question for you folks!

Hopefully someone out there has a few good ideas!! I am getting a 15 gallon, round fish tank and I was wondering what kind of filtration I should get for it. It is round so I dont think a hang on the back kinda filter would work out too well, and I wasnt sure of what else is out there that would work for my tank. It is just a freshwater tank that will contain the following fishys: danios, rasboras, and cory cats. If anyone has a good idea of type and size of filter that I should use and possibly where to find a good deal for one that would be very much appreciated!!! Thanks!

Quick note....the tank is 13 deep and 19 in circumference...I think is what I was told.... if that makes a difference!

This will be interesting! Well HOBs are out the window then. Maybe you could try some big sponge filters, or a canister with no spraybar.

You could fabricate your own undergravel filter or use the biggest square/rectangular one that will fit.

Is your round aquarium a globe shape, or a cylinder?

This hexagon UGF doesn't list a size, but if it's 12 or 13" this would work out for you.

That is a nifty little tank. You know, with the material being flexible it's very possible that a smaller 20 gall HOB filter might work. Possible just flex the material in that one spot for the filter to hang. Not sure how secure it is, just a thought though. That is really kind of cool though.

You could use a internal filter. Maybe the fulval 2 internal filter from petsmart.

For this tank would either go with a 4 inch cube sponge filter set in the back or just do gravel vacuuming every week while leaving that water pump running all the time for circulation.

For that matter you might be able to simply add a sponge pre-filter to the intake for that water pump. Then you would just have to rinse off the sponge every week or whenever it was clogged.

Get a 4 inch cube sponge filter and with an exacto craft razor cut out a little place to literally shove the water pump inside of. Then when the pump draws water in, the water first gets sucked through the sponge and filtered that way.

Yeah I will agree with you...I always hate it when a company will display a tank or product with like 30 goldfish in one like 10 gallon tank or something like that. It really gives people the wrong idea of how to stock their own fish tank.
