Do you think the Fluval U3 would be excessively bulky inside of a 29 gallon tank? I'm thinking I'd rig up a mount and put it on the left short wall of the tank, where there's already a canister output. I've looked for dimensions online, but can't seem to readily find them...

I'm very interested, though! The Penguin 150 that is on there to supplement the canister filter is getting so noisy, it's driving me bonkers at night since it's in my bedroom. I literally have to unplug it at night now and plug it back in when I wake up.
 
Nicole the dimensions are roughly 3.5" square by 10.5" tall. Whether that's excessively bulky would be a matter of taste of course! In any event I still have it so lmk if you decide you want it.
 
That seems like it might be just right! I've never used an internal filter like this before, but I imagine they are very quiet. Fluval's products usually are.
