I have a 10g with 4 neons and 3 zebra dainos and a south american bumble bee cat.

One of my neons suddenly has a nipped at tail fin and i think it was one of the zebras because they are constantly chasing them around. The bumble bee cat never ever comes out during the day but maybe he got him at night?/ I dunno what to think, any opinions.

Ps. All the other neons seem to be fine.

Water conditions? Often, 'nipped fins' are actually the result of poor water conditions, so it's just good to rule that out first.

Otherwise, if it's the danios, you would be able to see the chasing and aggression--it wouldn't be something that happened at night. The cat is likely blameless--while they are predatory, the gulp down prey whole, rather than nipping and biting. It's possible that the cat tried to eat the neon and missed, but IME, predators seldom go after something they can't fit in their mouth, and are successful more frequently than they miss. Fish missing, likely the cat, fish injured, probably not the cat. JMO.

Water conditions are good...meaning ammonia 0 and nitrites 0... zerba's are very agressive constantly chasing each other and tetra's. I was planning on bringing them back but havnt gotten the chance. If you believe its them then they will be headed back today.

One of them(zebra's) looks pregnant. What are the signs of that?

Danios are egg scatterers, so she could be full of eggs but not pregnant in that sense. All the females that I've had have become very "full" looking. Almost pregnant guppy like. They will eat the eggs if they can get to them once she drops them.

With all the danios I have, though they will chase after eachother and others, I've never seen them actually harm another fish or eachother.
