Wow, thanks for all the responses. I knew that Dems are pretty rough on each other, but I wasn't sure how much is normal and how much is a sign that things are getting out of hand. Glad (sort of... I guess I'm glad that it's normal that my fish are aggressive snots) to hear that this isn't out of the realm of "normal." So far, the aggression seems to be conspecific... Dems on Dems, zebras on zebras; though the Dems are the only ones with chewed fins.
As for medicating, I've stepped up my water changes a little, but I probably won't medicate unless I start to see evidence of secondary infections. Right now, nobody's missing any fins or anything like fin rot... their fins are just a little shredded.
