Delawhere?
I need help selecting my last fish. I have a 20 gallon tank with java fern and plastic. I have 6 zebra danios, 5 spotted cory catfish, 2 female platies, and my latest addition, a male dwarf gourami. I had intended for him to have a female partner, but the stores who claimed to have females, actually do NOT! One store is telling me that the females will just come in with the males from time to time--but I'm skeptical. I'm reluctant to pay $30 for a female mail-order, but I will if my male really needs company. Should I hold out for a female for him, or just get a couple more platies?

Yeah... it's not like the aquarium is gonna sneak off in the night or sumthin. :P

yes that is quite stocked for a tank of that size. Is it a 20 gallon long or high?

Its prolly ok if its 20L...

i'd stick with the female. im lucky enough to have a LFS that has 9 tanks (3 are for galdfish, 3 are for guppys) and that includes 1 with male/female dwarfs of many colour variations :)

Long. I'll do 50% pwc weekly. Prob going to get a bigger tank in near future.

I would reccomend not adding more fish. if you have male and female platies they will prolifically reproduce and you're pretty well stocked already IMO.
