Finally a BIGGER tank!

Did the math, 613.3lbs empty, not including the top brace. Stand is another 150-200lbs.
When full the whole thing should be roughly:
Tank:613.3lbs
Water:3,242lbs
Sump:294lbs
Water in sump:560.3lbs
Sand in display:650lbs
Sand in RDSB:100lbs
Rough total:5,450lbs

And that's not including pumps, powerheads, additional filters, heaters, lighting, woodwork, plumbing, bracing or tops. So basically it's gonna weigh a little more than a grilled cheese sandwich 

yeah, 3 tons, even if there is an earthquake, ur tank isn't moving, and ur fish will be swimming around happily even if ur house does:)

and the easy task remaining before you of water changes:jaw-dropping:
remember, you have to do some 50% ones
:idea:i would recommend using a lot of home depot 5G buckets, those should get the job done fast, and make it easy..................lol

i would have nightmares about water changes for ur tank:eek::jaw:

Believe it or not we only had 4, but only 3 were able bodied. 2 on one side, me on the other.

I'm not even quite sure how we did it at all. Looking back I'm pretty sure I should get checked for a hernia lol

So, it was a seesaw with u down /

Lol actually my end was up in the air first lol.

And as far as waterchanges, I will have a 1.5" or 2" bulkhead at the 50% mark so I will just be able to open a gate valve and then refill... Pretty simple. Should take about 30 min with only about 5 min of actual work.

And yes I will post pics of the future inhabitants, but they won't all be up to date, I'm on my phone and it's hard to take decent pics so old ones or bad ones lol.

oh, for water changes, that was a smart move compared to those orange home depot 5G buckets.:)

but if u open the gatevalve, won't the fish get sucked in? Do you have a small strainer of some sort, or are all your fish going to be big?

and then where are you going to refill from, as the pressure won't allow you to fill from the middle of the tank, i think?

And again thank you all for the kind and encouraging words!

Those are some bad fish you have got there. I love the goby, eel, and catfish. I love them. :)

Oh and water will be added with a plumbed line into the return line with a check valve to keep from overflowing the sump

oh, okay, now it makes sense.:)

Bad news tonight tho, my biggest Pleco looks like he's not gonna make it. He's got a pacu's mouth sized hole in him, in a few places and he's bleeding a little.

I took him out and put him in a 55g that has no fish big enuff to mess with him. Those plecs are tough, so I'm not gonna give up on him just yet. But I doubt he'll make it through the night 

beautiful fish you got there, sorry to hear about the plec, all the best though!

Sorry for your pleco, I though they had hard and tough skin.
