Finally a BIGGER tank!

They do have very tough skin, but pacu's, the larger cousin of the piranha, don't cut thru flesh with sharp teeth, rather the crush bites outta your flesh. While a piranha would bite the skin off the bone, the pacu would break right thru the bone. Very strong jaws.in their native amazon they crush very strong seed shells on a regular basis.

So anybody have any ideas for the work on the aquarium?

Lets make this a brainstorm of brilliant minds. I'm open to all suggestions. Mainly I'm looking for ideas on buffing, resealing, filtration, where to find mangrove trees(looking for about a 3ft tall piece with about 16" of widespread roots) anybody got any?

I don't know anything about big tanks, so sorry I can't be more help but...

Are you trying to get a mangrove for the looks, or to grow a real one? I'm sure that you could build your own fake one "relatively" easily. It would be a sweet DIY project too.

As much work as I have ahead of me I'm gonna avaoid making one but I am going to make my own concrete 3d background.

Any tips on those? It will be the same as on a small tank, just a lot bigger lol.

The background is gonna be 70"x46"

^concrete???

i thought most people used cork, or styrofoam?

Ya they mix it up wet and paint it on, then do a second heavier coat with whatever dyes you want for color and then soak it fir a few weeks to leech out the bad stuff lol

Does anyone want some fw angelfish who live in Stockton Manteca Modesto area of central California? I'm getting rid of a bunch to make room for this new tank so I need them gone asap. Any takers? Lol

I am in San Jose, Almaden Valley, will you ship if I pay shipping? What type are they?

I would have taken them instantly even if I was in san jose like I am if i was older and could drive. I'm 14, and can't drive legally, I could bike.......................lol

Lol silvers smokies and marbled angels.

I'm not asking enuff to ship tho because shipping would cost more than I get out of the fish lol
