I absolutely love that there really are other people out there who get all excited about fish finds too. I was beginning to think I was the only one! Everyone I know thinks I'm crazy....;) she is a cutie!
 
Thank you, thank you, thanks everybody!! Yes, I don't understand people who say fish are boring...

Jupi zooms up to the front when I go up close, then does the wiggle dance when I try to take pics! She can't fit betta pellets into her mouth yet, so I'm feeding very small amounts of micro-pellets. Even with those, she chews & spits out half, then follows the bit down to slurp it up again.

Very pretty girl! I love the look of that 1g ... but am glad your betta will be movin' on up to a deluxe apart-- er, aquarium. More pics. We need more pics.
 
I've been wrestling with making her 5g a natural planted tank (possibly a crypt jungle) but need to fully load it with plants for a silent cycle... Finalizing a purchase, but maybe I should dump anacharis or something else found locally to get her in faster.

I'm trying with the pics, but the rounded bowl makes it harder! She ate her first two betta pellets today (yes, I hand picked the smallest ones & Mr. Red got the rest - funny seeing a neon tetra try to run off with a pellet clutched in it's mouth!), although it took her about six tries of bite, spit, bite, spit, gulp, spit, gulp, head-bob. :D

I highly encourage females, Chris! Highly entertaining little torpedo wigglers!
 
Try to get them from a breeder who raised them together, less aggression issues. It could work, but you'd need a few more plants/hiding spots.
