Finally got a few plants

I had only gotten a sprig of java fern from a friend of mine about a week ago, and I was determined to get some live plants going in my tank. I've recently purchased 2 anubias nana and some java moss. I know the java moss I can tie to ornaments, and the anubias can have its rhizome tied to an ornament too, but one of the two was in a pot. My question is, can I leave this anubias in the pot and just bury the pot in my gravel, or do I have to take it out? Its roots grow down through the pot, but the rhizome itself is in the top of the squishy stuff they pack into the pot, so it doesn't look as though its started to rot at all. I believe I am able to just plant it down in my gravel, but if I'm not supposed to, someone please let me know. (I'm putting the plants in my tank as we speak, so if you read this and have some info for me, I'll be checking on this for the next half hour or so)

Turns out that you're not supposed to put the rock wool from the pots into your tank... the nutrients in it will more than likely cause a huge algae bloom. I'm having a hell of a time tying these things down, but I'm liking how they're turning out.

I've attached my anubias to rocks and driftwood using a rubber band. Works great and after a couple of weeks just cut the rubber band.

yes. take just put the plant in. its a little to late now.

I took it out of the pot before I put it in the tank, so there's no worries there. The only problem is that my **** tinfoils like knocking the plants around a bit. Is it a problem to have a little bit of java moss on the intake tube for my canister filter? It is a really small clump right now, but I think it'd be cool if it would grow up the tube and hide it a bit.

You shouldnt of got plants anyway, tinfoil barbs are rough on them I think/

Although I enjoy my fish, I will probably be finding new homes for one if not both of my tinfoils. I may be finding new homes for one if not both of my catfish as well. I really enjoy my fish, and I love how active the tinfoils are, but I am not sure if they are the right fish for this tank. My tinfoils are growing explosively... the larger of the two has gone from a 2" specimen to 5.5" approx. in 2 months.
