I absolutely love the little guys. I spent all of Sunday afternoon with my fiancee checking out stores trying to find someone that six Sterbais. I found six between two stores, but they wanted a good $10-12US/ea for them (same for pandas) so I decided to settle for the skunks I found at the second store I went to. I felt silly driving in a giant circle, but I had a good time and the Skunks were about 1/3rd the price.

They got settled into the QT after only a couple hours and started acting like little nutjobs. Up and down, pecking at the gravel, pushing each other out of the way to get at food pellets. Between these guys and my bloodfins I'm almost tempted to stop adding fish out of fear of muting their behaviour.

No real point to this thread. I just felt the need to gush about my new friends.

Congrats on your new cories! I can think of worse ways to spend an afternoon than driving around to look at fish....... :woot:

Congrats on the new corys! I am a big fan - they are so cute! Sorry to hear the sterbais are so expensive in your area - it's the same here in Scotland. I had to buy mine in groups of three at a time as I couldn't afford to get them all at once.

Do you have any pics of your new additions? :)

True. Spending all afternoon driving to the middle of nowhere to have a crappy lunch and then driving back home would be much worse. (We don't speak about Saturday anymore.)

No pictures yet. I need to get off my lazy butt and clean my camera so I can take some decent photos. Once I do, though, they'll be in the cory photo thread.

That's awesome. I love skunk cories. I had some once, but killed them all. That was before I became a good fish keeper (which happens to coincide with moving out of the dorms...). They are really good looking, and I hope I'll get a chance to get some again - don't have room for them now anyway. Take good care of 'em. : )

I agree. Corys rule!

Hey, thats my line lol

Yeah, Cories can be expensive. The Sterba and Schwartzi I bought were $12.99 each, the C. davidsandsi (my pride and joy lol) were $10.99 each and the Zygatus were $14.99. But since, being a kid, I must of looked so cute (lol) and the pet store employee gave me the three Zygatus for free (sorta as a trade for my Firemouth..but still) and she only charged me for one davidsandsi...unstead of the three I bought:grinyes: Sometimes its nice to be a kid.

BTW, Skunks are a nice find...but they are not rare.
