Finally got that salt tank...

He has furry legs and black tipped claws, seems to have some black bands/stripes on his legs as well. I will more than likely take him to the lfs in the morning for their opinion

I've also had some unexplained snail death, I've found the shells around "his" rock....maybe not so unexplained after all.

another person's experience with gorilla crab....

as usual I never heard of this creature before so had to go google. Had no idea there were so many Awful Evil Bad Gotta-Be-Gotten-Rid-Of things that could sneak in on live rock (at least that's where I assume it came from). Apparently you were very nimble or lucky to grab him on the first try. :)

I'm glad you nabbed the little guy while you could. :) time to replace the snails and dispose of the little dude. :8)

Your tank is looking great and I can't wait to see where it goes from here :D

I have one stubborn Majano. I've treated it 3 times with lemon juice already. Hoping the 3rd times the charm!

I took the gorilla crab to my lfs and they fed it to their puffer. I didn't have the heart to kill it.

I'm being over run by macro algae. My urchin has no interest in it, I'll have to buy some nori for it.

What kind of macro?

razor caulerpa. My lfs said the urchin would eat it. Nbd that he won't. But it's all over the ONE rock I can't remove >.<

Murphy's law of saltwater tanks. :evil_lol:

Caulerpa can be a tough one to find a grazer for. Especially for smaller tanks.

Yeah not many nano sized fish will eat it. Best chance is careful manual removal and diligent wc. :) you'll be just fine - its like everything else in a reef, it just takes time.
