Finally got that salt tank...

yes, but what is the bug on the sponge?

Stometella snails for sure. if the lights and/or fans are out.. i'd think about doing an led upgrade. I have a nano 8 with chalices and hard corals using a panorama led kit and some reefbright knock offs

Here are some updated pictures. I got my clean up crew yesterday :)
8 astrea snails
2 turbos
5 blue leg hermits
2 scarlet hermits
1 emerald crab - I opted out of this one and got a peppermint shrimp instead
3 nessarius snails - they were out of this so I was given a cucumber instead

I got a ton of free hermits and turbos. Probably have ~ 20 hermits total and 10 turbos total

Does anyone know what this is?

That "bug" in the middle of the sponge looks to be a nudibranch. Not sure which species but it could be a Berghia nudi (eats aptasia which is good) or a zoanthid eating variety (not so good :)). There are so many different nudis out there though. Might want to do some google searching to make sure you don't have a bad guy lurking.

Great looking tank BTW and great pics! If you end up with corals make sure that peppermint is well fed. There are not "reef safe" in my experience. There are also camel shrimp that look similar which are definitely not reef safe.

Greech- the thing I saw had little legs it almost looked like a mini shrimp.

My snails and crabs have eaten all the algae off my rocks I was going to get Nori for them. I wanted to double check and make sure that it's the right stuff and everyone will eat it :)

Sounds like a pod then. Google copepod, amphipod, isopod and see if that was it.

Probably don't need to specifically feed your CUC but yes nori rubberbanded to a small rock will get eaten. You bumble bee snails and nassarius snails probably won't eat it though as they are more the BBs are more of a detrivore and the nass are more of a meatier food eater.

Do you have any recommendations on other foods for them?

My critters all feed on the extra food because I always overfeed my fish.

I don't have any fish yet
