Finally got that salt tank...

My male clown, Pabst, gave me quite a scare this morning. He'd jumped into the chamber with the pump. Had to take the pump out to get him out, reached in and grabbed him.

Ive been spending a good bit of time with my tank today. Discovered this on my acan frag.

I has been removed.

Crazy looking worm. I've never seen that before. And I'm so glad pabst is ok, maybe penny literally drove him over the edge? Lol

I'm becoming increasingly worried about my bta. It is deflating more often and when it's inflated some of the tentacles looked crimped in the middle.

More than once per day? Is it still in the same place?

How often have you been feeding it and what have you been feeding?

It is still in the same place. It gets PE mysis twice, sometimes 3 times a week.
Ita been acting funny ever since I made the post about it having the bruise/discoloration a few days ago

Not sure what would happen if urchin poked it. Don't you have a tuxedo urchin? Can't see that piercing a nem.

Not saying this is the issue but I think you're feeding too much. A nem that size can go with a small meal once a week tops. If it deflates multiple times per day, I would not be surprised if it started walking soon. Is it happening more than once per day?

Another option is that it may split. While cool, it may be an indicator of stress (survival mechanism) if it splits so soon after being in your tank. I would run some water tests.

I have a long spine urchin, and yes it's deflating more than once per day.
