Wow guys, thanks a lot for your comments!
Great link sorberj! It come up with a couple of warnings (too few cherry barbs, as you already pointed out, Boeseman's too big for my tank and need a bigger group, gouramis can be dangerous to cherry when breading) but I'm just about on budget on stocking and filtration. 30% weekly WC recommended (what I basically do).
I use internal filtration, I have the Hagen Fluval U3 poly-carbon filter. I also have an air-stone to improve aeration.
I have a couple of plants in my tank and since the PH in my area approaches 8 I just bought 2 planted small bogwoods to try keeping it a tad lower than that.
According to my books TL G goes up to 3 in. Still a bit bigger than the DG but I hope it will be fine (they are about the same size at the moment, 1.5 in and they seem to go well together).
Basically are you telling me that I better not to add the 6 rainbow I bought on Saturday and I'm currently quarantining?
