Finding a large enough stand

Hi all,

I'm planning my first saltwater tank, but I'm having trouble finding a stand that will work for me. I want a 29 gal (or perhaps a little larger, depending on what I find). My problem is that I haven't been able to find a stand that is large enough on the inside to hold the size of tank I want for a sump (I was hoping for a 15 or 20).

I've checked Petco, Petsmart, and my 2 better LFS's. There's still one LFS I can try, but he usually doesn't have many stands.

Does anyone have any other ideas on where I might find a stand that suits my needs? It doesn't necessarily need to be for a 29, I'd be ok with a larger stand as long as a 29 can sit on it.

Where did you get stands? Are there any of you out there with 29gal (or comparable sizes) with a 15 or 20 sump?

TIA

I'm in eastern Iowa, USA.

My LFS ordered mine from Perfecto. Check my build thread at the bottom to see it. It's 84x24 and 28" high, and it was like $300 and some change.
There are (or were) some guys on ebay doing custom stands...one in TN and one somewhere in the Midwest that I priced stands from when I was looking for one. They were somewhere in the $600-700 range, shipped. Not sure if they are still around or not.
Hope this helps!

I know a guy that can custom make a stand and canopy for you. Pretty decent price. About $200 painted, stained, whatever. He made my stand and did beautiful work. If you're interested PM me measurements of what you want, a drawing would be helpful, and I'll ask him for a quote.

you should be able to goto your petco or petsmart and have them ship you one from another store...my petco and PS here in des moines have a huge selection thats where I got my 55 and stand...
