I read on the planted tank forum that the light tends to go out after a couple of months, so if you can buy a replacement at the time of purchase to do so.
I am also looking at this tank (8 gallons). There is a 6 gallon version as well. It doesn't come with a filter though. I wish the Finnex 8 gallon tank was still being sold!
