Fire eel question

I have fed him bloodworms but with him being 16" he would go through them like crazy. I feed them to my silver dollars and he will steal some but mainly is just after live earthworms.

I have some pellet food but he has never seemed interested in it at all. is there a certain kind?

There's not a certain kind. Some fire eels won't eat any prepared foods.
You can try different types and see if he has interest. A lot of fish will eat carnivore pellets (my fire eel won't touch them, or any other pellet foods).
You could also try cut up shrimp (get the raw ones with nothing else added). A lot of fish like that. My fire eel won't eat anything dead though (including bloodworms). If your fire eel will eat frozen blood worms he may be willing to try cut up shrimp.

That if you put garlic on new foods for fish that they love garlic for some reason???
Some people have had luck with getting picky fish to eat different foods by using garlic extract. I personally have had no luck whatsoever with it on any fish.

It's not BS, it's just that it doesn't work with all fish. For some people they have great luck with certain fish, for others it does nothing.

Thanks for the advice. He will eat sometimes the frozen bloodworms (won't eat pellets either like yours) so i may try the cut up shrimp. Can't hurt... hell if he doesn't eat em I sure will.
