FIRE EEL REALLY WEIRD

K ive had a fire eel for about 3 years he seems in good health I have all the params are good never bad and the odd time i see him in his hidding home and hes upside down its really weird hes like this for a couple of hours. I got a dew worm and and gave it to him and he flips around grabs the worm and comes out of his home and hes fine.

sounds like he might be getting old. 3 years? do you knwo what the avg lifespan is of a fire eel? the older they get, the less active they will WANT to be, but they still will be active.

How big is he? I saw a few recently that were over 3 feet. I see fish in really weird positions all the time. He might just be chillen. I cam home once and one of my discus was laying in the grass on his side I watched him for ten minutes just lay there. Then he got up and swam away. Just keep an eye on him, if hes eating he should be ok.

hes about 2 feet Such an amazing animal ive never had a fish like this when i go near the tank he actually comes over so i can pet him ill try to find my camera to take a pic

My fire eel would only eat out of my hand. I would hold a cube of frozen blood worms between my fingers and he would curl up in my hand and nibble away.
