Firemouth compatibility

Hey all,

Just a quick question: Would a single Firemouth be okay with an easy-going Gold Gourami, a seldom-seen Rainbow Shark and some Silver Dollars? Thanks in advance!

How big is the tank?

He should be ok, but he might pick on the gourami

Both the Firemouths I had (still have 1) were every bit as mean as my Flowerhorn to other fish. The one I've got lives with an Oscar 5 times his size and that's the only reason he doesn't bother the Oscar. Have a backup plan because these fish are a lot meaner than people claim IMO.

Like mentioned it may work or it may not. I've kept some pretty placid FM's before and a few that were down right nasty to other fish. Make sure you have lots of visual barriers to establish territories.

when he gets big i could see some problems with him posabibly killing the Gold Gourami
