Firemouths

I have a 35 gallon that I want ot put firemouths in. I have 2 serpae tetra and a very small sailfin pleco. I am going to get rid of the pleco before he gets too big. I plan on buying 2 or 3 more serpae. I want to get a pair of firemouths to breed them. I will have the tank set up correctly for them. Will this work? If not, will not getting more serpae help?

IMO i would just put the paif of Firemouths in,they can get aggressive when spawning. Serpae stay small if i remember right,they may be picked on.

I think I read somewhere that serpae can get aggressive too. I recognize that they are much smaller than firemouths. If it comes down to it, I can make some very small caves for the tetra to hide in. I trust their speed vs. the firemouths' in that they could get away quickly. Is this ok?
