First Fish Food Order from Ken's Fish...

I ordered fish food for the first time from Ken's Fish last week. I got some veggie flakes that are saod to be a good staple for Mbuna's, some goldfish flakes, and some tropical flakes. So far, I've only opened the "Super Premium Flakes w/ Vegetables" for the Mbuna's but they LOVE it! I'm probably going to have the goldies and tropicals finish off their current foods before opening what I got them from Ken's, but so far, I'm very impressed and so our the Mbuna cichlids.

Thanks AC folks for the heads up! I'd never heard of this feeds until joining here and based on the HUGE selection, how well the fish reacted to the food, and the great value -- I'd say it was a very good tip to try out Ken's Fish :) :) :)

Thanks a lot!!!

I ordered some light bulbs from him, too, and thought the price was very good :) :) :)

I order many different foods from Ken and have had no complaints from the fish over the food  I have some Oscars that go ape for the premium cichlid flake.

Atually just spent ANOTHER $120 there. And suprisingly (or not) only one package of food.

I had a really hard time deciding what to buy from him when I purchased food a few months ago... so I ended up with like 5 different things. LOL. I have yet to open any of them because I'm trying to use up what I have first, but I will probably dig into at least some of it soon. For now it stays in the freezer. Out of curiosity - how are you guys storing your food? It's SO MUCH in each bag, so I'm not really sure how best to keep it??

Whats the shelf life of a bag of flake food from kens? I ended up buying a little too much from there.

I have a couple 1/2 pound bags of Natural Staple Flake and wont be using them for a few years....... :hitting:oops.

i keep what I use in a month or so out in a small tupperware or spice jar. The rest I close up with as little air as possible in a freezer bag and store in the freezer.
