First Fish Food Order from Ken's Fish...

I separated my flakes into Mason jars, and then into the freezer. The pellet stuffs i just keep in a "shake top" tupperware. 1/2 lb of the pellets takes up much less space!

I store my food all my food in waiting in the freezer, food I'm currently using are in the refrigerator.

on the subject of kens fish food...

When i feed flakes, they make their way around the surface of the water until they reach the point where the AC20 ouputs its water into the tank and they get shot to to floor. sure some of it gets eaten but my tetras are extremely picky and messy when eating so a lot of it gets wasted. i end up shutting off my filters when i feed now.

so could i just feed pellets/sticks to solve this?

That would be fine, as long as they get a variety and bite sized pieces.

Tetras are definitely picky and do not usually "eat off the ground" so to speak. Rather than turn off the filters, have you considered hiring a clean-up crew? A small group of cories would clean the excess food very well. Some snails would do the trick as well. Otherwise, what I recommend is feeding in small increments throughout the day.

Most pellets/sticks sink as well. As noted, tetras will not usually eat off the ground.

Funny you mention that. thats all my tetras are doing. theyre acting like bottom feeders.

Im still just getting this tank stocked so im not trying to add way too many fish all at once and i was gonna get otos but the store was out. and i also like habrosus cories.

I also like buying stuff from Ken's, whether it be food or supplies. In the two orders so far, I've gotten some free spirulina pellets.
