Again thank you for the answers ...................having read more of the articles .......I am wondering if I should go to a sump filter as it seems a lot of people are negative on the canister type. Strange that I can happily breed Discus yet get lost on the marine side of the hobby.
I have some very good stores within 25 miles of my house the best is Elmers and I think that I will only build 3 tiers of base rock and then add more live rock than inert.
