Okay- so I have my first planted tank going and doing lovely. I have 2 Albino BN Plecos and 2 Blue rams in there. I've been told NO COPPER. Is this accurate? Also... What else could I add to the tank? I'd like some mid to top level swimmers that do not jump and wont pick on my shrimpies! (I have cherry shrimp btw)

Any suggestions?

I posted here because I am worried about getting fishes that will eat the shrimp- i'd rather not have that. What do you keep with your shrimp?

I keep guppies, neons, kulies, dojos all with success. Those are the only fish I've tried keeping shrimp with, I'm sure you can keep most smaller fish.

For the most part nearly any fish will eat shrimp if it will fit in the fishes mouth.
The solution is to provide alot of hiding places for the shrimp to get in to.
A few months ago, I put about 8 RCS in my 125 gal discus tank, there are also 7 clown loaches in with the discus yesterday I counted 20 RCS without looking too hard for them.

Good to know. The GBRs are going after them like crazy. Lots of good hiding places for them though, so i think once they figure out the tank they will be OK. I was given a "pregnant" female so I'll see what happens with that.

Thanks again! :)
