they max out at just over an inch so their bioload is not very significant. That being said, if keeping more than one cray make sure you leave ample room for territory and supply alot of hides so that they can escape each other after molting when they are vulnerable. I would not keep a pair in less than 5g

Hmmm contemplating my order. I take it the blue shrimp will most likely cross bred with my Cherry Shrimp causing a mix in color? Same with the Amano shrimp? I know I want some otos and a micro crab or two, but with $10 shipping I might as well make sure I get everything I want. I'll get back to you at the end of the weekend. I usually get packages from PA to CA priority in 3 days so I am pretty sure/hope they will be ok. More worried about the otos than the inverts.

I do have a few hatchets but I am not sure how well they will ship all the way across country this time of year.I have kens, but only he sells them. Since they have no preservatives at all, they do expand but they are easy to break. One little trick I like to use is to bury a terra cotta saucer in the substrate and put my pellets in that. It makes it easier to clean up the mess andkeeps them from getting trapped in the substrate.
The blue cannot hybridize with cherries. They are caridina and cherries are neocaridina. Amanos will not interbreed with either as they do not complete their lifecycle in freshwater.
