A lot of people are confused about boarding it seems.
The concept is simple, you board your fish. Instead of being in another room, your tank(s) are physically in another building.

It's like a person who boards their horses at a stable or a person who sends their dog to a kennel.
People board their animals for various reasons. A crisis, a vacation, lack of facilities to keep their animals at their own home( usually horses), frequent moving etc.

Who cares for the boarded animals depends on the situation and the animal boarded.
If one takes care of the boarded animals themselves, you'll have to commute regularly and it may take a lot of time depending on how far away the boarding facilities are.

Why in the world would you do this?

I would like to board a large pond at my parents house, cause I have little to no yard, lol. But I cant talk them into it.

I totally get it. It sucks when you don't have room for the fish that you want, but it's pretty darn cool if you have someone who is willing to house your tanks/fishies until you have the room.

the boarding i can understand. it's your tap water *issues* i just don't get.

I have a feeling vacation is the most common reason for boarding fish.
