Fish catching tips!

Well I am lucky enough that all my fish swim INTO the net and so its easy to catch them :D. BUT this is what i would do and It used to work for me until they started swimming into it LOL

Try and catch them normally with ONE NET and move fast as they are danios. They should hopefull go to the bottom to try and escape the net, and thats when you trap them against the glass and swoop upwards towards the surface.
This worked for me and i know people say that You should use two nets to reduce stress, but the above method is very quick when done right and therefore not much stress.

OR use two nets close together and trap the fish inside them when the are put together, then lift to the surface.

Good luck

Use a flashbang ;).

Nah, Use one of the infrared nets, they actually do work, and I no longer trash my aquarium trying to catch fish anymore.

I am having a similar problem now. I have fry in a planted 5 gallon that I am trying to remove. The tank is too small to move around 2 nets plus there are a lot of hiding places. I've been using a water bottle with the top cut off and inverted, (so it funnels inward). Then I bait it with some food and wait. It can take a while but so far I have caught half the fry using this without disturbing anything.

I've been feeding frozen food out of my net for a long time....... The fish actuall RUSH to to net at feeding time....... So much so that very often, they climb right in !!!!!!

Here are some tips that have helped me through the years.

1. Don't use a spoon

2. Don't use your hand

3.Fast fish get tired eventually, but some times not as fast as you

4. Don't use a spoon

Hopefully these tips will help you a bit.
