Fish Death

I bury them. I bury all the dead animals that I find (animals hit by a car in front of house)
Recently there was a squirrel that had its eye bugled out and was walking in circles. Some kids where poking him with sticks. I boxed him put the box in the garage gave him some bread and water. Called around for a rescue place, unfortunately it was Sunday and by the next morning it had died. So he got buried in the back yard.

Me: *putting box in garage*
Mom: What is that?
Me: Injured squirrel
Mom: Is just old, look how gray its is.
Me: It’s an Eastern Gray Squirrel.
Mom: What’s it doing here?
Me: We are the north east.
Mom: Oh

Some I flush, some I don't. It matters how long I had the fish, how much it meant to me, etc. Like if one of my bettas died, he would be buried. When my one eyed (unique, eh?) bottom cleaner passed away I buried him. Other fish that dont really appeal to me as much are flushed.

My 6" red cap oranda just died, and I had no choice but to compost him - I was afraid he wouldn't fit down the toilet! I put him in a paper bag with zucchini peels, lettuce, etc and he went into our plastic composter out back. I think that's what I'm going to do with all our fish from now on.

If the fish will fit, we have a little funeral around the toilet bowl. If it's too big we bury it in the back yard.
