fish eats eggs??

Is it unhealthy to let a fish eat her own eggs rather than take them away from her?
She's in the tank by herself (no male) so rather than fight her for the rock w/ the eggs on them, I've been letting her clean them up.

This is her third time with eggs, third time eating them, if its unhealthy, I'll start risking fingers I guess.

I don't believe there is any health hazzards. They are simply unfertilized eggs. Even if they were fertilized, many fish would eat them in the wild or in the tank.

Some fish will even eat their own babies.

Not all fish do this, but some will.

What kind of fish is it by the way?
